February

This past month was indeed a crazy one! Many a day I felt like this: (hence, the lack of blog posts). On the first I turned the big 3-o. I think my 20's was my most favorite decade so I can't wait to see what this next one will bring. Once again we might be starting over in a new city with new friends - bring it on! I had a great birthday - my friend, Kirk brought over this:
What a chic little tape measure! If she only knew how much I use this sucker! Abby gave me a spa voucher for the Mandarin Oriental Spa in Bangkok with Nartrudee Bridi. Wahhoooo! I can't wait. Ginny sent me a card with the "30 Reasons I love Mer on her 30th Birthday" and I cried. The hubs cooked lobster on my actual birthday....
Then, came the Austin Marathon on Valentine's Day. It was one of those beautiful, sunny days in Austin where Lee and I looked at each other and said, "We can't leave here!". Our friends Sam, Randal, and Jim ran and we watched from our yard. The triplets came to play - here I am with Ann....

Lee with Ann....
Amanda brought her dogs....(and a friend)
I got a new camera!
Then I played with my new camera...

Then I worked, worked, worked on 2 installations.....

Banqo almost complete...(missing new Saarinen table and Galbraith and Paul roman shades).

Living/ Dining Room.....
Bachelor pad sneak preview.....

Chris and Abby had Baby Elly on February 4th. She made her debut at Matt's El Rancho last week and LOVED it. :)

It snowed in Austin.... (wierd!). I think it was 70 degrees again the next day.

I played with my camera some more....
I flew to San Diego, and installed a tapestry in the Upstairs Guest Room....

And we photographed the house for.....
Decor Magazine! Thrilled.

Signing off and will be posting again soon about THAILAND!

XOXO, M.

Wow! How exciting! Not sure how I stumbled upon your blog, but I too live in Austin, so it's fun to see familiar sites. Did you design the room for Decor? Beautiful!
