Honeymon Dos, Part Uno

The following are (believe it or not) a FEW photos of the many that I took while we were in Bangkok. (Phuket and Tokyo to come in a later post) I tried to capture the many beautiful colors we saw - in the details of the Wats (temples), the beautiful fruit in the floating market, and the amazing midnight flower market! I hope you enjoy - a trip to Asia is certainly a trip of a lifetime - one that I will never forget. The details in the temples and palaces were truly amazing - here, Wat Arun..

The Grand Palace...

The Chao Phraya River runs right through Bangkok and is a true, working river. We stayed in the Shangri-La Hotel, right on the river next-door to the Mandarin Oriental. It was amazing! Many Thai people take the river buses as a means of public transportation, and for us, it was a great (and fast) way to get from out hotel to the palaces.
Here, a young monk on the river-bus.

The mini-monks. :)

Amazing flower market! An incredible hot pink orchid (or any color you could imagine) with 15+ blooms would be....ONE DOLLAR!

Orchids, orchids, orchids...
Lee with our driver, Tom in the "Railroad market". Quite amazing - when the train comes through they quickly move everything out of the way just in the nick of time...
Check it out!

The floating market....

Lunching at the Oriental..

The Lobby of the Oriental.
My favvvvvvvvorite spot - we had drinks one evening right at sunset at Sirocco , one of the most incredible places I have ever been! Bangkok at sunset...

Our driver, Bob...he told us he had a snake-farm and that he brought us a snake egg as a gift - he tricked us by pulling this little snake out of a cloth bag and thought it was hilarious. I think he laughed for 20 minutes!
